Salary Range: $30 - $40 an hour (part-time)
Oakwood School is a K-12 coeducational day school in North Hollywood, California, that opened its doors in 1951. REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree is not required but preferred.
- Must have 1-2 years prior competitive experience in Public Forum, Policy, and/or Lincoln-Douglas debate formats.
- Travels to and judges at local, state, and/or national circuit tournaments, either in California or throughout the country, monthly (reasonable airfare, hotel, and meal expenses covered).
- Assists in planning the team competition strategy and with the event logistics at competitions (help reserve airfare and hotel accommodations).
- Aids in research and case-building, attends in-person weekly practices, and leads debate drills.
- Prepares and delivers lectures regarding current issues and events.
- Provides approximately ten hours of tutoring per week.
- Represents the school at meetings and other official administrative functions with area coaches.
